Day 33 Blossoms

It is amazing how spring like it is here.  The flowers are blooming, the birds are singing, and we get rain at least once a day (sometimes for 30 minutes sometimes all day.)  I had to wait a while for these trees to bloom, asking Josh to keep an eye on them for me so that I could come into the University Parks to get a good picture of them.  They are the only three Cherry Trees in the park and they stand out from a mile away.

I took a picture of these trees last year. It didn’t turn out, mostly because the three trees blend into one another and because the pink blossoms can easily wash the picture out.  This year I decided to stand back a little and take the picture to include the path as well and it was overcast so the pink stands out more.

Adjustments: color, contrast, Gaussian blur

Until tomorrow, good night.

  1. Imagine in another 10 or 20 years when these cherry trees grow tall enough for you to walk underneath them with the sky filled with pink blossom. 🙂

Let me know what you think!
