Day 41 Athens

Due to flying most of the day yesterday I am a little bit behind on these posts.  We flew from London to Athens, well actually we bused from Oxford to London, flew from London to Frankfort transferred and flew from Frankfort to Athens.  Although flying is a fast mode of transportation we left our house at 7:00am and got into our hotel at 7:00pm…there is a 2 hour time difference so it was 10 total hours of travel time.  Needless to say, I didn’t have a very good picture or the motivation to post.

The best part of all of this travel is that we were able to meet up with some of our best friends.  So, last night we wandered the streets of Athens in search of an authentic Greek restaurant. We found Ουζαδικο!  What you can’t pronounce it?  Me either, but the food was amazing, traditional Greek food, kebabs, olives, feta, and Holumi (yummy cheese that you can grill…it is wonderful!)

When we sat down for dinner we decided that we should start our trip together with a toast.  We took our server’s recommendation (not to mention advice from a friend) to have the Oyzo.  Our directions were to fill the glass with ice, then half with Oyzo and half with water swirl and drink.  Here is our toast to a fun holiday with good friends.

Adjustments: Gaussian blur, vignette

Until next time, good night
