Forth Rail Bridge, Edinburgh Scotland

This picture is not part of my 365 days.  I took it just before New Years during our Christmas trip up north.  Our last stop was in Edinburgh Scotland for Hogmanay (New Years Eve.)  We had spent a lot of time in the car that day and just needed to get out and take a walk.  We walked along the edge of the water enjoying the cool winter air and as the sun began to set (about 3pm) we decided that we should turn around and head back to the car.  On our way back we saw this stunning view of the Forth Rail Bridge with the Forth Street Bridge in the background.

Adjustments: cropping, contrast, hue

  1. I’m beginning to realise winter can be beautiful as well as summer, now that I’m seeing things through the lens of my camera.
    Great shot.

I live in Edinburgh and I still haven’t bothered to get a decent pic of the bridges. Love this one!
