I went for a walk with my dog up the big hill behind our house. Just before we got to the top I stopped and tried to capture the sky (the way it looks in this picture) and the field. But the sun was low on the horizon and in every picture either the sky was washed out or the field was a silhouette. This is where HDR image processing would have been useful, but I didn’t have my tripod.
When I got home and looked at the images on the computer (instead of my little display screen that seems to make every picture look good) I found that I really liked the pictures where the field was silhouetted, it means that the sun shining through the clouds is the subject of the picture and the little bits of wheat stand up are a detail that enhances the overall photo.
