Day 243 Land of the Big Knockers

Well it was the land of the big knockers.  Almost every door had a large, and sometimes elaborate, knocker.  When we got to Sienna we had to park just inside the city walls, so we still had to walk into the city center.  On our way my girlfriend and I noticed all of the rather large knockers and couldn’t help but comment on the fact that this seemed to be the Land of the Big Knockers.

Hopefully, you enjoyed these knockers as much as I do.

Until next time,

Jenna x

  1. I always wanted a huge, wonderful front door with an equally amazing knocker. Of course I would need a huge house but.. I will just overlook that fact lol. These shots are wonderful

  2. would be pretty cool to have a lionhead knocker on my frontdoor!

  4. These are great…

In Malta, many of the knockers were lovely. I have a photo of a patinated sea-creature knocker. Love it.

  5. I wasn’t sure what I was clicking into 🙂 Pleasant surprise and great photos.

Let me know what you think!
