Day 264 A Rose in the Ruins

I love the contrast of the new flowers vs the old ruins.  It had been a long day of sight-seeing and the sun was just starting to set so the pinkish hue that is lingering on the buildings and starting to settle in the sky compliment the bright pink roses.  As you can see Roman columns ahead of us and the Colosseum was just behind us.  Really a majestic view!

Until next time,

  1. you’re right.. when you look at the flowers the quote “A rose that grew from concrete” comes to mind. Stunning
